The dragons stripped our world bare. Breathing fire, they incinerated everything it had taken generations to build, centuries of toil ruined. Wild-eyed and remorseless, iron hides agleam, their rainbow colours shone through humanity’s fallen ashes. So what, I shouldn’t have eaten their eggs! I was hungry. They were big.
